My name is Deidre Augustine and I'm from Elsipogtog First Nation. I am 28 years old and have been working with the team here at Mi’kmaq Printing & Design since the summer of 2018. My role here is as a Cultural Educator & Product Promotions Lead. I love the strength and power that comes with learning our history. I plan to continue to keep educating others to the best of my ability and to always be open to personal growth and educating myself. Fun Fact: I absolutely love anything to do with pickles! And the colour green. Which pickles are, hmm coincidence? I think not!
IT and Digital Marketing Lead
My name is Misiksk Jadis and I’m from Abegweit First Nation. I am 24 years old and have been working alongside Mi’kmaq Printing & Design since 2018. My role in the team is IT and Digital Marketing Lead. I love working with technology and editing! I attended the University of Lethbridge for Anthropology and Native Studies and will be finishing my degree in the next few years! I love learning about my Mi’kmaq culture and hope to be able to share my knowledge to our future generations! Fun fact about me: I grew up on a cattle and horse ranch in Alberta!
Sales and Production Lead
My name is Yvette McKenna, I am from Timiskaming First Nation. I have been working with Mi’kmaq Printing & Design team since May of 2019. My role is Production Lead & Mentoring. My position involves preparing products for our store, building relationships, and creating a safe space for individuals joining the team. Fun fact: I enjoy spending time with my family, quilting, laughing and chatting.
Store Lead and Production Assistant
My name is Brittany Lush and I am from Lennox Island First Nation. I am a mother of two beautiful girls named Miah and Brianna. I have been working with Mi’kmaq Printing & Design for almost a year now, and I love it. My role in the team is the store lead and production assistant. I have learned so much and always look forward to learning more as our organization continues to grow. I graduated from Colonel Gray High School and I have worked at several different positions until I came here and discovered that this is where I belong. Fun fact about me would be that if I became instantly rich I would still do what I am doing now but I would buy a huge farm and make a safe haven/no kill shelter for all those dogs and cats out there that need love and care!
Kwe’! My name is Tyler Gould, and I am a proud member of Abegweit First Nation. I have been working with the team in a business advisory role since early 2019, helping establish the business processes necessary to grow our enterprise and optimize our social impact. With a business degree from the University of Prince Edward Island and multiple years of experience in the private sector, my role is to foster a culture of entrepreneurship and provide key insights on all things business. I currently reside in Stratford with my partner Shanelle and french bulldog Honey. When I'm not at work, you can catch me hanging out with family, playing some tunes on my acoustic guitar or avidly watching my Toronto Raptors!
